My Philosophy

I teach 'whip' or 'internal rotation' compared to 'hello elbow.' I have a background in physical therapy and personal training and I believe internal rotation to be healthier for your rotator cuff and biceps over time.

My Approach to Softball Pitching

We have three kids. One boy, then two girls. When our oldest daughter got interested in pitching we put a mound in the backyard. Soon after, my younger one wanted some lessons, too. This has progressed to full nets, buckets of pitching aids and balls, and lessons for girls from dozens of local teams of all age and ability levels. 

 

I LOVE beginners! I love showing girls who are new to pitching how to work up to proper mechanics!

 

I have a background in physical therapy and personal training and this leads me to always think long-term about girls’ musculoskeletal health! We don’t do drills or exercises that will cause harm long-term even if it gives some type of measurable result short-term. 

 

My physical therapy background helps me easily watch body positioning with pitching, and use a variety of drills to encourage proper mechanics. I love to use slow motion videos to show girls during sessions, and to send to parents after.

I have a mound in my backyard so we never have to search for an open field and hope the mound is the correct distance.

30 Minute - Individual

60 Minute - Individual, Buddy, or Group Lessons

**New pitchers need two, 60 minute lessons with me start. Select the New Pitcher Package on the scheduling app under "Credit Passes."

A Note for Coaches

We can set up Group Lessons with just your team’s pitchers. We will discuss the date/time via email and then you'll receive a private link for your girls to register. Minimum 3 girls, maximum 4 girls at my outdoor location. If you have a reserved location that can accommodate more then we can chat. Email me to inquire!

 

​​Cancellation Policy

Lessons can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance. There are no refunds within 24 hours unless the weather dictates that we cancel. This is subject to Coach Steph's discretion.

Ask Coach Steph about her Pitching Workouts and Drills app at your next lesson. This app is completely optional and only $5/month. It is not a stand-alone learn-to-pitch app. It is just for girls who do lessons with her.
